Camouflage field jacket, from Comme des Garçons Homme Plus, Spring/Summer 1995. Specifically, the pattern corresponds to berezka camo, which was used by the Soviet army. the cotton fabric is not too thick, making this jacket perfect for Summer. Furthermore, the fit is typical of the Comme des Garçons collection with the oversized fit and 3D structured sleeves. It is a bit sun-faded and a small hole has been fixed on the front.
The Homme Plus line, which had been casting many state-of-the-art artists and musicians throughout the years, completely turned around this season to only have boys aged between 16 and 18 modelling. Under the theme of "WORK", the main colours seen were khaki, gray, and blue, while the main fabric was cotton. Despite following the normal practice of workwear, variations in the details and silhouette contributed to the creation of a new style. There was a charming contrast between the exaggerated "Regent" hairstyle with the work pants and the models leaving their innocence behind. The group of white shirts in the finale evoked the charm and ridiculousness of young male workers doing their best to dress up.
Instead of shrinking her clothes as she did last season, Miss Kawakubo shrank her models, reviving her boxy, oversized shapes by putting them on adolescents with James Dean-styled hair. She showed work wear for blue collar and white: indigo shirts and trousers, khaki jackets with cargo pockets, washed mechanics' overalls -- and pin-striped trousers belted high with white shirts and striped ties and white-shirt jackets with blue trousers and white bucks.
