Polka dot rayon shirt from Comme des Garçons Homme Plus, Spring/Summer 1989. The mix of rayon and silk creates a soft look and a beautiful finish. The pastel colours used add to the visual softness. Normally, I do not like polka dots, but this is an exception due to the subtlety and ingenuity of the design. The fit is extremely oversized, something that is only enhanced by how the fabric falls on the body. The shirt is in good condition, but you will see some stains if you look closely.
This collection is known for using Francesco Clemente as its main figure, appearing on the runway and in many editorials and advertisements. Clemente was a popular Italian contemporary artist at that time.
