Metallic wool-nylon suit from ISSEY MIYAKE MEN, Autumn/Winter 1996-1997, by Naoki Takizawa. In the '90s, Naoki Takizawa was experimenting with how far the brand could incorporate technology into fashion, notably by employing fabrics used in space development. This season, he played with textures through dull-silver polyester, high-shine metallics, and other types of more-or-less reflective coatings and fabrics. The character of this suit shines in movement when its sturdy fabric gets contorted. The tailored garment is made skinny by pincers of seaming in the back, which can be seen in one of the editorial pictures produced by the brand. It is in great condition.
