Piped wool blazer with wooden buttons from Yohji Yamamoto Pour Homme, Autumn/Winter 1987-1988. Some collectors would argue that this is one of the best Yohji Yamamoto Pour Homme collections. I am one of them. Everything about this collection is iconic and this piece is a good example of that. Yohji himself seemed to love this collection for many years afterward considering that he wore this exact blazer in 1991, the day that he presented '6.1 THE MEN'. The navy-colored fabric, the pipping, and the wooden buttons are all great elements that are rarely found in Yohji's large body of work. It has a beautiful fit. It is in bad condition with a number of moth holes in it.
