See-through macramé knit wool sweater from Comme des Garçons Homme Plus, Autumn/Winter 1987-1988. Note that the first pictures were taken with a white T-shirt inside in order to show the intricate design of the macramé. The perfectly black wool is extremely soft and tightly woven. In contrast with the style of the time, it espouses the shape of the body with its smaller proportions. It is in perfect condition.

Not much information is available about the collection. Visually, it marks the beginning of Rei Kawakubo's conceptual, innovative, and unequivocally extravagant approach to her main menswear line. There is indeed more complexity involved in the designs of this season than in prior collections.
